One of the most awaited films of the year Bharat, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, has finally hit the silver screens today (June 5). The film got off to a bumper start at the box office and is all set for a record-breaking EID opening. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat revolves around the story of a son’s promise to his father during the 1947 India-Pakistan partition. With Salman and Katrina playing the lead roles in the movie, Bharat will also see an ensemble cast of actors like Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi and Sunil Grover. Talking about the movie, our in-house film critic Sreeju Sudhakaran wrote in his review, "Bharat's strengths lie in its emotional scenes, Salman Khan's swag-ado and Katrina Kaif's confident screen-presence. And unless you are a Bhai fan, you have a lot to nitpick with the rest of the film. Quite an improvement from Salman's last release, Race 3, and yet, Bharat could have been a much more well-knitted emotional saga than what we really get to see here!" On Tuesday night (May 4, 2019), Salman Khan held a special screening of Bharat for the media and his industry friends. From Karan Johar, Bobby Deol, Ishaan Khatter, Suniel Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Neha Dhupia, to Sunny Leone, several Bollywood stars turned up for the actor's Bharat premiere. Bharat's supporting cast, which includes Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover, too attended the screening that was held last night.
