Ali Abbas Zafar's latest directorial venture Bharat is currently faring brilliantly at the box office. The film hit the screens on the auspicious occasion of Eid and started minting big money from the very first day itself at the ticket windows. Starring Salman Khan, stand-up comedian Sunil Grover and Katrina Kaif in the lead, the period drama was one of the most awaited films of this year as the Being Human superstar was missing from the big screen for quite some time now. Plus, Bharat was in the news for the longest time as Priyanka Chopra was to play the female lead opposite Salman after 10 long years. Bharat Box Office Collection Day 5: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif Starrer Has a Thunderous Opening Weekend, Rakes in Rs 150.10 Crore

Sadly, things didn't work out for the Quantico star and instead, Katrina Kaif bagged the coveted film. The trailer of Salman and Kat's movie stormed the web and soon everyone was looking forward to seeing their sizzling jodi on the silver screen. As expected, Zafar's Eid offering didn't disappoint and is now having a dream run at the domestic office despite the ongoing 2019 Cricket World Cup. While Bharat has been in theatres only for five days, it has already broken one too many records at the box office. And while we are sure this list is only going to get bigger with each passing day, for now, let's check out the records that it has broken to date. Bharat Box Office Collection Day 4: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif's Film Swiftly Enters 100-Crore Club, Mints Rs 122.2 Crore

  • Bharat, which is co-produced by Salman, raked in Rs 42.30 crore on day 1 and became his career's biggest opener.

  • Apart from being Khan's biggest opener, Bharat is also the biggest Bollywood opener of 2019.

  • By minting Rs 42.30 crore, Salman's Eid release also became the third highest opener of all time in the Hindi film category. Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan is on the top followed by Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year.

  • Till now, Salman has had 9 releases during Eid and Bharat is obviously his biggest Eid opener to date as well. Earlier, it was Race 3 which had earned Rs 29.17 crore.

  • Salman and Katrina starrer has also become the highest opening weekend grosser of 2019, leaving behind Akshay Kumar's Kesari. The latter had collected Rs 78.07 crore in its extended four-day opening weekend whereas Bharat clocked in Rs 150.10 crore in its extended five-day opening weekend.

  • Zafar's latest offering is also the second highest opening weekend grosser of all time in Bollywood with Sultan leading the way. Yes, Khan's sports drama earned Rs 180.36 crore in its five day weekend.

  • Also, Bharat is now Salman's second highest opening weekend grosser as it surpassed Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which minted Rs 129.77 crore.

  • By releasing in 75 pus locations, Bharat witnessed the biggest Hindi release in Australia.

  • Lastly, Bharat is also the first ever Bollywood film to release in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
