Bharat Box Office Collection: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Eid Release Off to a Flying Start in the Morning Shows
Salman's Bharat is a remake of 2014 South Korean blockbuster Ode to My Father.
After a lot of hype and positive buzz, Salman Khan and Katrina starrer Bharat has finally hit the theatres today. The period drama directed by Ali Abbas Zafar has been in the news for the longest time and now that the film is out, we can't wait to see how it performs at the Indian box office. Well, going by the early trend, it seems Khan's Eid release is going to get cash registers ringing despite the ongoing 2019 Cricket World Cup. We say so because according to Boxofficeindia.com, Bharat has opened to 60 to 65 percent occupancy in the morning shows and that's definitely good news for Salman and his team. Bharat Movie Review: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Film Finds Its Strengths in the Emotions; the Rest Is Utterly Forgettable!
The Boxofficeindia.com report has stated, "Bharat has taken a bumper opening of 60-65% and the biggest for a Hindi film since Thugs of Hindostan last Diwali. The initial is a little less than Thugs Of Hindostan as far as the morning shows are concerned and with the big India world cup match to come, the record opening day may be a step too far."
Further, the trade portal pointed out, "The initial is a credit to the stardom of Salman Khan as the film is not in the zone of the Tiger films which are readymade for the huge initials as they are out an out action films while here action is there but seems to be in a more limited scope. The way collections are going at the moment it has chances to be the highest opening day for Salman Khan though it is hard to say how the match will slow the collections down."
