Bharat Box Office Collection Day 12: Sakman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani's Eid Release Fares Decently on Sunday Despite India Versus Pakistan World Cup Match
At the box office, Bharat has now left behind 2.0, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Bajirao Mastani.
Salman Khan's latest offering Bharat, which released on June 5, is all set to enter the Rs 200 crore club this week. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the period drama co-starring Sunil Grover, Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani has been faring averagely at the ticket windows in India after it took a humungous opening of Rs 42.30 crore on day 1. Yes, the film started off with a bang but the collections have been in the single digit range since the last Monday. On the second Saturday, however, Bharat picked up the pace at the domestic box office and performed better than it did on the weekdays. As for the second Sunday, Salman starrer fared decently at the box office despite clashing with big India versus Pakistan world cup match. Of course, the film's business was affected but the collections were pretty much the same as Saturday. According to BollywoodHungama, Bharat clocked in Rs 5.90 crore on day 12, bringing its total collection to Rs 194.55 crore.
With that, Salman's movie has now surpassed the lifetime business of 2.0, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Bajirao Mastani. And by Tuesday or Wednesday Bharat will also cross the Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office. However, the period drama will slow down further as Shahid Kapoor's highly anticipated film Kabir Singh is set to arrive in cinema halls this week.
