Shammi Kapoor
Shammi Kapoor played the role of the fearless freedom fighter Bhagat Singh in the 1963 film Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Although the movie did not turned out to be a blockbuster, his look and performance was praised.
Manoj Kumar
Manoj Kumar played the role of the patriotic hero in the 1965 film Shaheed. His role was not only promising, but that film also won three National Awards.
Bobby Deol
Bobby Deol starrer 23rd March 1931: Shaheed that released in June 2002. There were two other films released based on the revolutionary freedom fighter’s struggle, however it was this Guddu Dhanoa directorial that stood out to be different. It also featured Sunny Deol as Chandra Shekhar Azad.
Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn’s performance as Bhagat Singh in Rajkumar Santoshi’s The Legend of Bhagat Singh was well received by fans and critics. In fact, Devgn even won National Film Award for Best Actor and the biopic also bagged National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.

Sonu Sood was featured in Sukumar Nair’s Shaheed-E-Azam that also released in June 2002. He portrayed the character of Bhagat Singh in the film. Sonu who is a Punjabi, left everyone impressed with his avatar.
