Before we see him in the Hindi remake of Sairat, Ishaan Khatter will first arrive on the big screen in acclaimed Iranian film-maker Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds. Malavika Mohanan plays his elder sister in the movie, a role that Deepika Padukone had earlier had her eyes on. Majidi is known for making respected movies like Children of Heaven, The Song of Sparrows and Muhammad. This is his debut in Indian cinema. AR Rahman, who had scored for Muhammad, is again collaborating with Majidi to score for Beyond the Clouds.

The makers have revealed a new trailer of the movie, that needs to be seen for various reasons. The first trailer of Beyond the Clouds was all about giving the look and the feel of the main characters in the movie. However, the second trailer gives a little more insight into the siblings' relationship with each other, and how an untoward incident changes their lives. It also showcases the acting range of the young Khatter. Going by the trailer, he looks really good and if he continues this form, Shahid Kapoor's half-brother can expect a really good and long innings in Bollywood. As for Malayalam actress Malavika Mohanan, she displays flashes of brilliance as the girl wrongfully arrested for a crime she claims she hasn't committed.

Beyond the Clouds also dares to go straight into the grime and dirt in the city, that seems to be a favourite talking point of international film-makers when they see India. Here's the new trailer,

For his performance in the movie, Ishaan Khattar had won the Best Actor award at the International Bosphorus Film Festival in Turkey. In his acceptance speech, Khatter dedicated the award to his mother Neelima Azeem and director Majid Majidi. He had said, "This is an absolute honour. My mother is here in the audience - Everything I earn from my work will always, first and foremost, be dedicated to you. Thank you for giving me the gift of life and art. Firstly (for this piece of work) the award goes out to Majid Majidi - the masterful, wonderful, absolute legend of a man, who trusted me and gave me this film as my first leading performance." Ishaan Khatter's Dhadak opposite Janhvi Kapoor will also release this year.

Beyond The Clouds is scheduled to release on April 20.
