It is a difficult task to emulate someone whom we consider the best dancer in India. While we have actors like Tiger Shroff, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Allu Arjun, Shahid Kapoor who dance like a dream, they all look upto the one and only Prabhu Deva when it comes to the art of moving your feet. So what happens when a newbie dares to attempt one of Prabhu Deva's best dance routines? Ishaan Khatter, Shahid Kapoor's younger brother, plays a tribute to Prabhu Deva in the upcoming movie, Beyond the Clouds.
The makers have revealed a sequence in the movie, where Ishaan shadow-dances to Kadhalan's Muqabla song. While Ishaan's moves waver from what Deva performed in the original song, he has made sure that they own his identity while paying tribute to the dancing superstar.
An insider source reveals the reason behind the sequence, "As part of a certain scene in the film, Ishaan's character Amir is supposed to turn on a song and put up a little dance act. Ishaan is seen freestyling to the original track but in a shadow dance visual. True to form, Ishaan is unbelievable in that scene and will definitely make people stand up and take notice. He has already wowed audiences with his dancing skills at the launch of the song Ey Chote Motor Chala and with this, he is going to be given his well deserved star title."
Here's the video,
Even before his debut movie's release, Ishaan has already established himself as a fantastic dancer and a talent to watch out for. Speaking about the above sequence, Ishaan revealed, "I have to admit that this was a very happy fateful coincidence for me. While shooting the scene, Mr Majidi asked me to play any song I felt like at the time that would help elevate the moment. When I hit play button on my music player, Muqabala started. He absolutely loved it and asked me to take my shot and it all just magically happened. This song is in no way a new rendition or version of the song. It is very much the killer original track."
Beyond the Clouds is Iranian film-maker Majid Majidi's first Indian movie and is scheduled to release on April 20.
