The upcoming action movie is helmed by Sujoy Ghosh, and as per the latest buzz, Abhishek Bachchan is all set to play the antagonist in the film. Several recent media reports claimed that Abhishek Bachchan would be seen portraying the role of a villain opposite SRK in King, but there were no confirmations regarding the same. Well, in case you are thinking that this is the first time Abhishek Bachchan has stepped up for a negative character opposite Shah Rukh Khan, then let us enlighten you. Junior Bachchan and SRK stared together in Farah Khan's hit 2014 film Happy New Year alongside Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah. But there's a twist: Abhishek Bachchan has a double role in this film where he also plays an alcoholic.

The film follows a group of amateurs who team up with a skilled dancer (Deepika Padukone) to compete in a major dance competition in Dubai. Little do others know, it's all part of their plan to pull off the biggest diamond heist. Abhishek Bachchan plays two roles: Nandu Bhide, part of SRK's gang involved in the daring mission, and Vicky Grover, the son of Jackie Shroff.
