Crooned by Ankit Tiwari and Dhvani Bhanushali, the lyrics of the song are penned by Prince Dubey, while Ankit Tiwari composed it. "Rula Diya," which features Mrunal Thakur and John Abraham, is an emotional number, that shows the actor torn between his duty and love. On July 24, John Abraham took to the micro-blogging site to share the video song titled "Rula Diya" and wrote on Twitter, "Jab dil aur dimaag ke beech chunna ho jaaye mushkil, toh bas ek hi baat aaye mann mein ki 'Kismat ne kyu humko mila diya, humko rula diya.' Helmed by Nikkhil Advani, Batla House is based on a real-life incident about the Delhi spot where a shootout took place in 2008. Besides John Abraham, who will be seen in the lead role of a police officer named Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, the film also features Mrunal Thakur as Nandita (Sanjeev's wife) and Ravi Kishan as KK. Batla House is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 15.
