Last year, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham locked horns at the box office on Independence Day and this year is going to be no exception. Akki's multi-starrer film Mission Mangal is releasing tomorrow alongside John Abraham's Batla House. Since both the films are high on patriotic feel, they will definitely draw the audience to the cinema halls over the four-day extended weekend. While Mission Mangal is expected to rake in over Rs 20 crore on day 1, the big question is - will Batla House witness a good opening as well at the ticket windows? Or will John starrer suffer at the domestic box office because of the big clash? Batla House Movie: Review, Cast, Box Office, Budget, Story, Trailer, Music of John Abraham, Mrunal Thakur Film

Obviously, Batla House won't take a massive opening as Mission Mangal but the action thriller will certainly get cash registers ringing at the BO. Nikhil Advani's directorial venture has managed to stir the right amount of excitement amongst the moviegoers with its gripping storyline and the trailer of the film, which released not too long ago, was also appreciated by most on social media. Apart from that, John has tasted success in this genre before and that's another plus point for the film.

In fact, the advance booking for Batla House has also been more than impressive which shows that John starrer is going to stay strong at the box office despite facing competition from Mission Mangal. Talking about the same, film trade analyst Sumit Kadel yesterday wrote on his Twitter timeline, "Slowly & steady #BatlaHouse Advance booking is catching up fast. Expecting good advance sale today & tomorrow. Opening badiya lagegi." Batla House Movie Review: John Abraham’s Real-Life Based Thriller Is Too Convoluted and Long to Make an Impact

Coming to the opening day figure, as per trade experts, Batla House will mint between Rs 13 to Rs 15 crore on day 1. Co-starring Mrunal Thakur, the movie is expected to surpass the Rs 50 crore mark in the opening weekend itself. Also, if Batla House garners good response from the critics and does well during the morning shows then the first-day collection easily go up as well. Overall, John Abraham's latest offering is well placed at the box office even though it's not a solo release.
