Batla House Box Office Collection Day 4: John Abraham Starrer Fares Well in the Opening Weekend, Mints Rs 47.99 Crore
While Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal is set to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club on Monday, John Abraham's Batla House, on the other hand, will surpass the Rs 50 crore mark on day 5. Despite releasing together on August 15, both the films are doing really well at the Indian box office.
John Abraham's Batla House, which released on Thursday alongside Akshay Kumar's multi-starrer Mission Mangal, is having a good run at the ticket windows in India. The movie, based on the controversial Batla House encounter case, witnessed a solid opening on day 1 after garnering mixed reviews from the critics. On day 2, the action-thriller did fairly good business and then on day 3 and day 4 it again witnessed an upward trend and ended up collecting big moolah. Batla House will definitely feel the heat on Monday as most movies do but at the same time, John starrer will also enter the Rs 50 crore club. Batla House Box Office Collection Day 3: John Abraham's Movie Has a Considerable Growth on Saturday, Earns Rs 32.29 Crore
We say so because in its four-day extended first weekend Nikhil Advani's directorial venture has managed to mint Rs 47.99 crore which is quite impressive. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter just a while back and revealed the updated figures saying, "#BatlaHouse has a healthy *extended* weekend... Gathered momentum on Day 3 and 4... Faring better in #DelhiUP... Will need to maintain the pace on weekdays... Thu 15.55 cr, Fri 8.84 cr, Sat 10.90 cr, Sun 12.70 cr. Total: ₹ 47.99 cr. India biz."
Further, talking about the film's Sunday performance, Boxofficeindia.com has reported, "The problem for the film is that the film is not doing that well in Mumbai circuit. All India collections were just 20% down from day one but an area like Gujarat was 30% down when Sunday is normally very strong for Gujarat / Saurashtra. The film is doing better in Delhi / UP and if both Mumbai and Delhi / UP can hold well on Monday that should be enough for the film." Batla House encounter, which rattled the entire nation, took place in Delhi back in 2008. Apart from John, the movie also stars Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Nora Fatehi and few more actors in the supporting cast.
