Batla House Box Office Collection Day 10: John Abraham's Movie Witnesses Good Jump on Second Saturday, Mints Rs 76.75 Crore
Batla House is John Abraham's second outing this year and while the movie has turned out to be a crowd-puller, his earlier release Romeo Akbar Walter couldn't get the cash registers ringing at the box office. The good-looking actor has one more film coming out this year and that's Anees Bazmee directed comic caper Pagalpanti.
John Abraham's Batla House seems to be doing well with each passing day. The film was expected to end its theatrical run in India around Rs 80 to 90 crore, however, going by the current trend it seems the action thriller could very well surpass the Rs 100 crore mark before wrapping up its business at the domestic box office. That's not all! Nikhil Advani's latest directorial venture is set to beat the lifetime business of his last film Satyameva Jayate which also starred John in the lead. In fact, the 2018 release is John's highest-grossing film to date but that won't be the case in a few days. Batla House Box Office Collection Day 9: John Abraham's New Film Is Trending Better Than Satyameva Jayate, Earns Rs 69.99 Crore
Revealing the movie's updated collection, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter a while back and wrote, "#BatlaHouse sprints on [second] Sat... An open week has certainly proved beneficial, while #Janmashtami festivities is aiding its biz in Weekend 2... [Week 2] Fri 4.15 cr, Sat 6.58 cr. Total: ₹ 76.57 cr. India biz."
Further, Boxofficeindia.com has reported, "Batla House like Mission Mangal showed a big jump on Saturday and this two-day Janmashtami benefit is a big plus for this film. Mission Mangal was doing very well anyway so the 6-7 crore nett extra that Janmashtami has given hardly matters much in the long run but for Batla House that 3-4 crore extra can make the difference between a HIT and SEMI HIT film." Batla House Box Office Collection Day 8: John Abraham's Action Thriller Is a Bonafide Hit, Ends Week 1 on a Good Note
While John starrer has performed impressively till now, the numbers will go down on Monday and if the drop is very sharp then it certainly won't help Batla House in the long run. Having said that, the movie has done a good job so far and is a success story at the box office.
