Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bala has turned out to be a blockbuster. This comedy-drama, helmed by Amar Kaushik, continues to run strong at the theatres. This flick crossed Rs 100 crore mark on Friday for which the team even celebrated. Yes, a success party was held for which the entire team of Bala was seen in attendance. Bala has earned Rs 102.65 crore and that’s an impressive mark for a mid-range film like this. On Friday Bala did see a low figure, it earned Rs 1.35 crore. But on Saturday it did see a jump in its box office collection. It minted Rs 2.50 crore. Well, one has to wait and watch how it performs in the coming days. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Bala jumps yet again, on [third] Sat... [Week 3] Fri 1.35 cr, Sat 2.50 cr. Ayushmann Khurrana who is happy seeing the film’s success told IANS, “While I have always believed in the concept of art for art sake, I do realise that for an industry to thrive and grow, it is necessary that the films do really well. So, more than my personal milestones of 100 crore hits, I'm happy that I could contribute towards the growth of my industry as well as present some really good films to audiences in the process.” Before Bala, the other two films of Ayushmann Khurrana that crossed Rs 100 crore mark were Badhaai Ho and Dream Girl.
