Badla, which arrived in theatres last Friday, has found a strong holding at the Indian box office. The crime thriller starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead seems to have impressed the audience so much that it's performing better with each passing day. And it won't be long before it reaches the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office. Though the film opened to rave reviews from the critics, Badla initially witnessed low occupancy in theatres. However, once the positive word of mouth came into play, Ghosh's directorial venture took a big U-turn and ended up faring exceptionally well in the opening weekend. Badla Box Office Collection Day 4: Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu Starrer Fares Well on Monday, Grosses Rs 31.80 Crore.

Big B starrer has since continued to mint money at the ticket windows. Film trade Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures saying, "#Badla is displaying strong legs at the BO... Day 5 [Tue] is higher than Day 4 [Mon]... Eyes ₹ 35 cr+ Week 1, which is excellent... Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 8.55 cr, Sun 9.61 cr, Mon 3.75 cr, Tue 3.85 cr. Total: ₹ 30.80 cr. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 36.34 cr."

Further, trade portal Boxofficeindia.com stated, "Badla showed a little increase in business as collections went up around 10 lakhs nett to collect 3.85 crore nett apprx. There is no competition this week which could mean a strong second week for the film. The ratio of its business is very similar to Andhadhun. In fact, if we do the territory ratio it will be practically ditto. Despite releasing alongside Hollywood superhero film Captain Marvel, Badla has managed to get cash registers ringing, proving that two good films can do well at the box office even if they arrive together.
