Badla, which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead, has been raking in money since March 8. After opening to rave reviews, the crime thriller had a fantastic start at the box office. The film has been doing so well that it has already surpassed the lifetime business of Pink, 102 Not Out and Andhadhun. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Badla is now heading towards the coveted Rs 100 crore club. However, the film could miss the mark as three films are arriving this Friday, March 29. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and announced the updated figures. He wrote, "#Badla continues to trend well on weekdays... [Week 3] Fri 2.07 cr, Sat 2.65 cr, Sun 2.75 cr, Mon 1 cr, Tue 90 lakhs. Total: ₹ 76.69 cr. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 90.49 cr."

According to trade portal Boxofficeindia.com, Badla is faring best in the Mumbai circuit and down South. Inspired from Spanish film The Invisible Guest, Ghosh's directorial venture also stars Amrita Singh in an important role along with Malayalam actor Tony Luke. Though Badla released alongside Hollywood superhero flick Captain Marvel, the box office clash hardly affected either of the movies. In fact, both of them went on to do good business and are still drawing the crowd to the cinema halls.
