The year definitely belongs to Ayushmann Khurrana. After wowing critics with his class act in Sriram Raghavan's Andhadhun, he had to present his comical yet emotional side with Badhaai Ho. The movie that deals with our conservative society and its notions is comical in parts and grave in others. From Bareilly ki Barfi to Shubh Mangal Saavhdhan and AndhaDhun to Badhaai Ho, the actor has only witnessed a rise in his popularity. Today he's a brand in itself and his name is enough to pull viewers to theater screens. Popular trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to reveal the film's Sunday figures that were equally impressive. He wrote, #BadhaaiHo emerges a BIG FAVOURITE at the ticket windows... Has SENSATIONAL extended weekend... Thu 7.29 cr, Fri 11.67 cr, Sat 12.60 cr, Sun 13.50 cr. Total: ₹ 45.06 cr. India biz... Didn’t release in Madhya Pradesh due to cinema strike. Otherwise, the total would be higher. 

The collections could have been greater had the film released in Madhya Pradesh. However, due to the ongoing cinema strike in the state, the film had to witness a mild setback. Nonetheless, the film is doing quite well and its makers have all the good reasons to say 'Badhaai Ho'.
