Badhaai Ho Actor Sanya Malhotra to Star in Oscar-Winning Short Documentary 'Period. End of Sentence' Producer Guneet Monga’s Next

Sanya Malhotra, who made her big Bollywood debut along with Aamir Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh in one of the highest grossers Dangal, has established a huge fan base and garnered wide appreciations. For the unique films and versatile roles, that the beautiful actor has played, Sanya has received wide applause. The coming-of-age film actor is now been considered to be a part of producer Guneet Monga’s upcoming project. The producer is known for his Oscar-winning short documentary Period. End of Sentence. “We are doing a Hindi film. It's a film with Sanya Malhotra. It's a coming of age story of a young girl in a small town," Monga told IANS, during the screening of his short documentary, organised by Netflix at the American Centre in New Delhi. After Dangal, Sanya was appreciated for her roles in Pataakha, Badhaai Ho and Photograph. Guneet, on the other hand, is also thinking to explore herself in the regional cinema. She is all geared up for her upcoming Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, featuring Suriya. The movie is helmed by Sudha Kongara.
Talking about the project, Guneet Monga said, “t is incredible to work with Suriya, Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian and Sudha. And it's great that I am working with another woman director (after collaborating with Rayka Zehtabchi for Period...). “I love going to the sets. We all speak in English, but I don't understand the dialogues. But we all understand the language of cinema. We have shot for a week and now there is a schedule break and we will start again in a couple of weeks and then we go on three months of shoot," she said, as quoted by NDTV.
Malayalam and Gujarati films may also be on the producer’s list. "It's a vision we are putting out in the universe and saying 'one at a time'," she said, adding that something may also be in development in the web space.
