From rib-tickling comedy scenes to sensual love-making scenes, Bad Newz has a lot to offer. How can we forget the viral track "Tauba Tauba", which has taken the internet by storm. However, just a few days ahead of its release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) made some changes to the film, asking the makers to modify the kissing scene in the movie. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC has censored three kissing scenes between the lead actors. However, no audio cuts were made. The report said, "There are three such scenes: one of nine Seconds, the second of 10 Seconds and the third of eight seconds. In all, the CBFC made changes in these three scenes, totalling 27 Seconds." CBFC has also made a few other changes to the comedy film, such as replacing the opening disclaimer and adding an anti-alcohol warning by increasing its font size.

Reportedly, Bad Newz has been granted a U/A certification by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film's runtime is 142 Minutes, which is 2 Hours and 22 Minutes long. The movie's second track, "Jaanam", has been raising a lot of eyebrows due to its depiction of bold and sensual scenes between Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri. Bad Newz revolves around the story of a woman who gets pregnant with twin babies only to realise that they are from different fathers. Directed by Anand Tiwari and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Bad Newz is scheduled to release on July 19.
