Ananya Panday
Ananya Panday plays herself, an actress set to do her first biopic by portraying Triptii Dimri's character, Saloni, in her life story. The film is narrated as a flashback to her by Saloni, and by the end of it, Ananya is so impressed that she agrees to star in her biopic, even calling Saloni a true hero.

Neha Sharma
Neha Sharma appears in the epilogue before the final scene (where Ananya agrees to do the biopic). She plays Sejal, the Gujarati ex-girlfriend of Ammy Virk's character, Gurbir Pannu. They had broken up over their dietary preferences—she is a strict vegetarian, while he comes from a non-vegetarian Punjabi family. Gurbir still pines for her, though he later begins to develop feelings for Saloni. ‘Bad Newz’ Screening: Katrina Kaif, Ananya Panday, Neha Dhupia and Other Celebs Make Stylish Appearances at the Premiere of Vicky Kaushal–Triptii Dimri’s Film (View Pics).
After Saloni ends up happily ever after with Vicky Kaushal's Akhil, the film gives Gurbir his own partner with Sejal's re-entry. He meets her at a party organised to celebrate Saloni and Gurbir's Mirkar win, where she is the MD of the company issuing the award. Initially hesitant to meet her and even fleeing the scene, Gurbir eventually returns after encouragement from Akhil and not wanting to ruin Saloni's moment. He finds that Sejal has started eating chicken, and they rekindle their feelings by setting a date for the next day, thus giving Gurbir his happily ever after as well.
Apart from these two, producer Karan Johar also appears as himself, albeit as part of a televised footage of the show Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan, where he served as a judge along with Mithun Chakraborty and Parineeti Chopra. The movie also drops plenty of nods and easter eggs to Shah Rukh Khan through some of his iconic songs, though the actor doesn't make an appearance in the film. The end credits of Bad Newz pegs actor Gajraj Rao as 'Fatherly Appearance', but this is also a cameo that we missed watching on the screen as the actor is only seen as a framed photograph in a scene, presumably playing Vicky's dead father in the movie. Is there a deleted scene that we don't know of?
