Akshay Kumar fans are totally excited as the actor dropped the brand new film announcement on Friday morning! He will be next seen in Farhad Samji directed Bachchan Pandey. Yes, that's the film's title and his character's name too. The look involves him wearing a traditional veshti and gold chain with trimund on his forehead. In Telugu movie DJ, the Allu is seen in a similar avatar. He is seen wearing a red veshti along with long rudraksha mala. He also has a similar kind of trimund on his forehead, just like we saw on Bachchan Pandey's poster. Not we but fans on the internet found the striking similarity in both the looks.

This takes us to the question, whether Bachchan Pandey is actually a remake of this film? Akki is already doing a remake of another south film, namely, Kanchana. The film is titled as Laxxmi Bomb and also stars Kiara Advani it. So, with already one remake in his kitty, it will be interesting to see if he bags another masala move from down south. As far as the box office collection is concerned, DJ reportedly raked in Rs 115 crore worldwide. 10 crore while the flick was made on the budget of Rs 50 crore. It will be refreshing to see him pack some punches for a change, but we leave it to you to guess whether it is indeed a remake or not?
