In a shocking incident, politician Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12. The ex-minister who had recently joined Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) after being with the Indian National Congress (INC) for many years, was shot at by three men outside the office of his son Zeeshan Siddiqui. The senior politician's death in such a manner has sent shockwaves in political circles and especially in Bollywood. Actors Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan visited the Lilavati Hospital, where Siddiqui was being treated for his bullet injuries before he passed away. He was rushed to the hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival. A three-time elected MLA, Baba Siddiqui was known for his secular values and humanitarian outlook. When Baba Siddique Ended Cold War Between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan

It was Baba Siddique who helped Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan resolve their differences once and for all by coming together at his Iftar party. After this iconic reunion post their second feud, Salman and SRK have been friends and have not fought again. In 2008, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan had a massive fight at the birthday bash of Katrina Kaif. Tempers escalated and they came to blows. In 2013, Baba Siddiqui made Salman and SRK reunite at his Eid bash. After the party, Salman Khan reportedly went for the Bigg Boss 7 shoot while Shah Rukh Khan headed to the home of Salman's father Salim Khan for another Eid dinner.

Baba Siddique was like a big brother to Salman Khan. After the firing outside the house of Salman Khan in April 2023, Baba Siddiqui was the first to rush there to support the superstar. Over the years, Baba Siddique's Iftar party became one of the major events every Bollywood buff looked forward to on social media and every star loved to attend. The politician was protective of his guests and friends. In his recent parties, we have seen Bigg Boss contestants and actresses like Shehnaaz Gill, Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary, Rashami Desai, Ankita Lokhande and actors like Ankit Gupta attend.
