Saif Ali Khan returns to the big screen with Baazaar after his brilliant portrayal of Sartaj Singh in Sacred Games. He's suave, fearless and an extremely ambitious businessman. He is joined by debutante Rohan Mehra and Radhika Apte who are convincing in their parts. The movie as we all know revolves around the stock market and how cruel that world is really! The movie is directed by Gauravv K Chawla produced by Viacom 18, Kyta Productions and Emmay Entertainment. Our in-house critic Chandni Shah is watching the movie and here's what she has to say about the first half. Baazaar Song Billionaire: Yo Yo Honey Singh Plays in His Comfort Zone in This Party Track Featuring Saif Ali Khan, Rohan Mehra and Elli Avram - Watch Video.
"The movie is a gripping tale of businessman Shakun Kothari (Saif Ali Khan) and his pursuit to mint money. He finds his protege in Rizwan Ahmed (Rohan Mehra) who aims to be like him one fine day. But the world isn't as hunky dory as it seems. The first half revolves around Rohan's struggle to impress Saif and make him aware of his existence. He's a simple guy ready to do whatever it takes to be like his idol. But is he as ruthless as his idol? Is he willing to cross lines to achieve what he always dreamt of? We'll have to wait and watch.
Baazaar was delayed for the longest time. It was supposed to release November 2017 then got postponed to April 2018 and we finally get to see it today. The first half is pretty fast-paced and quite intense. Saif is charming and Rohan looks promising. The movie reaches an interesting point where Rohan is set to pursue his dreams but we are made aware of his downfall in future. How does it happen and why? The questions will be answered in the second half."
The movie is not over yet, so this is not the complete review. So come back here and get to know what our final views on Baazaar are.
