I really don't understand the obsession the makers of Tiger Shroff's Baaghi franchise has with the '80s potboiler, Tezaab. The first movie had borrowed the plot of the Anil Kapoor-starrer. Now the second movie borrows Tezaab's most famous song, the one that made Madhuri Dixit the IT girl. Ek Do Teen was the dance track that was hailed by many as timeless, a classic. And yet Bollywood had the temerity to remake the song for the younger audiences, because they can.
The new remix version is picturised on Jacqueline Fernandez. While the song succeeds in showing of the actress' oomph value, it hardly does anything to make the original song special. Instead many fans of the original song are of this feeling that it actually ruins whatever special qualities the original song had.
Here's how Twitterati reacted to the new remix in town,
Fingers crossed for this to happen
We should praise the hideous new #EkDoTeen remix 'dance' video, since it is grotesque (and blasphemous) enough to kill the Bollywood remix trend altogether.

Not even pleasing to the ears!

The general sentiment overall
I don’t know about Madhuri but I felt like dying after seeing #EkDoTeen by Jacqueline. So so ruined the charm

I just hope Mads didn't give her blessings like she did to Tamma Tamma remix

Last year, a lot of hue and cry were raised when OK Jaanu tried to get away with their remix version of Humma Humma. The recreated song, despite getting the approval of AR Rahman, found little appreciation from the music lovers. It looks like Bollywood hasn't learned a lesson from this chapter, and just making new ones ahead.
