Baaghi 2 becomes the third Rs 100 Crore movie of this 2018, following the likes of Padmaavat and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Ever since it has that blazing start at the box office, it was expected that Tiger Shroff's latest movie to do such good business. It was right in the star's comfort zone and delivered all that the fans wanted to see in his movie.

Taran Adarsh recently tweeted out the figures as he said, "And #Baaghi2 hits a century... ₹ 💯 cr and counting... Third film to cross ₹ 100 cr mark in 2018, after #Padmaavat and #SKTKS... Fri 25.10 cr, Sat 20.40 cr, Sun 27.60 cr, Mon 12.10 cr, Tue 10.60 cr, Wed 9.10 cr. Total: ₹ 104.90 cr. India biz." BTW this is Tiger Shroff's first Rs 100 crore movie and Disha Patani's second after 2016's MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.

So what made Baaghi 2 tick, despite the barrage of negative reviews, that the first Baaghi, A Flying Jatt and Munna Michael couldn't do. Well, here are five things that the movie did right to earn its place there.

It had everything to appease a basic Tiger Shroff fan

So when you go to watch a Tiger Shroff movie, what do you expect? Of course, some kick ass action sequences where Tiger gets to showcase his martial arts skills. And Baaghi 2 has plenty of those, but with a more polished execution and with a much bigger platform. The final 20 minutes of the movie where Tiger goes full Rambo should be orgasmic to his hardcore fans.

The promos did the trick

It will sound cliched these days, but the saying often works - 'the first impression is always the best impression'. The first trailer of the movie delivered exactly what a Tiger Shroff fan expect from the movie. We are suckers for anything larger than life and especially when it comes to action, and the promos delivered a tease of that, which helped in building up a good buzz which made for an awesome start for the movie at the box office.

The decent storyline and good supporting cast

What the first Baaghi lacked and the second didn't was a decent storyline. 'Borrowing' the premise from the Telugu hit Kshanam, the plot of Baaghi 2 offered enough thrills to keep the audience engaged and all the makers need to do was to add the action sequences. And since both Tiger and Disha aren't exactly performers, they roped in a good supporting cast who took care of the emoting department in Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, Darshan Kumar and Deepak Dobriyal

The final 20 minutes

I may be repeating this from the first point, but have to repeat it. The last 20 minutes of Baaghi 2 is totally insane as he takes on the villain's henchmen by the horde in the jungles of Goa without taking a bullet (till when the script demanded him to be hit). Even though the context of the sequence make no sense, it is a treat to see Tiger take down choppers by taking huge leaps and doing an Apocalypse Now in a river raft sequence. The cheers and whistles in the theatres means the scene has hit the mark.

Tiger had it coming

Come on, with his dedicated growing fan-base, It is a surprise that Tiger Shroff didn't crack the Rs 100 crore formula before! With Baaghi 2, it finally happened, and we hope it is a smooth road for him way ahead.

Baaghi 2 is directed by Ahmed Khan, who scores his first hit with the movie. The makers have also announced Baaghi 3 that retains the director as well as the lead actor
