As expected, Baaghi 2 has gone off to a flying start and you can thank Tiger Shroff's burgeoning fan-base and the audience's love for well-promoted masala movies for that. While Baaghi 2 has got mixed-to-bad reviews, the audiences are seemingly enjoying the dishoom-dishoom fare with the same relish as they have enjoyed Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai. Baaghi 2 once again shows the disparity between how critics see movies and how audiences enjoy them. Though we have to see if Baaghi 2 manages to maintain the steam in the days ahead. For one, we know that it will have an awesome opening weekend.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Baaghi 2 has collected Rs 25.10 crore. This is definitely better than Padmaavat's opening day figures, which happened to be Rs 18 crore. By beating Padmaavat, Baaghi 2 has become 2018's highest opening day grosser. enjoying the benefit of releasing on a Good Friday. Padmaavat, despite releasing during Republic Day weekend, had a fractured release thanks to Karni Sena's agitations and a couple of states banning the movie from releasing there.

Baaghi 2 is directed by Ahmed Khan and also stars Disha Patani, Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, Deepak Dobriyal, Prateik Babbar and Darshan Kumar. Jacqueline Fernandez appears in the remix version of Madhuri Dixit's iconic Ek Do Teen song from Tezaab. The movie is an unofficial remake of the Telugu hit Kshanam.

The makers have already announced Baaghi 3 with Tiger Shroff as the lead actor and Ahmed Khan as the director.
