Ayushmann Khurrana was preparing for yet another mind-boggling script when an assistant director  Kamal Kant Chandra filed a case against it. The AD insisted that Bala's script was originally written by him and accused the movie makers of plagiarising it. He filed a case against the actor along with director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan. While the case is currently waiting for a verdict in the court, the makers have already started shooting for it. And this has irked the AD. Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar to Reunite for Amar Kaushik's Bala - Read Details.

Kamal Kant Chandra has now filed a criminal complaint under Section 420 (cheating) and 406 (breach of trust) against the Bareilly ki Barfi actor and the makers for shooting the film without waiting for the court's verdict. In his recent conversation with Mid-Day, he clarified that during the matter's last hearing on April 19, Ayushmann and his team had claimed that the movie was still in its scripting stage.

"It's wrong to start shooting before the court has given its verdict. At the last hearing, they said that they would take time to develop the script. How did they start shooting in 15 days? This means they gave a misleading picture to the court. I approached the vacation bench four days ago, but they stated that I should wait for the next hearing on June 10. But the makers might finish [a chunk of] the film by then and argue that since a lot of money is at stake, the court should rule in their favour," he elaborated further. Ayushmann Khurrana Heads To Kanpur To Shoot For His Next Film With Yami Gautam And Here Are All The Deets.

Meanwhile, when the daily got in touch with the actor's legal team, they rubbished the matter entirely. "What has been communicated to you is a malafide distortion of facts, specially with regard to the proceedings of April 9. Since the matter is sub-judice, we are not commenting any further. Our script is original, and we will show that to the court when the matter comes up," they said. Kamal, however, insists that he had registered his story with the Screen Writers' Association in 2016 while Bala team registered theirs only in 2018.

We hope the matter doesn't intensify as the film is all set to hit the screens on November 22, 2019.
