Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Brahmastra has been the talk of the town since the movie went to the floors. The anticipation for the big-budget film has attracted a wide buzz from across the quarters. Earlier this week, the makers also revealed the film’s logo in Prayagaraj’s Kumbh Mela. The film’s lead cast including the director Ayan Mukerji were present at the time of launch. Incidentally, it also became a memorable moment, as it marked the debut of Ayan on Instagram. Ayan took to his Instagram handle to share more information on how Brahmastra came into existence, how and where the idea was born and how his close friend Ranbir, was the first person to know it.

Sharing a picture from the sets of Brahmastra, Ayan wrote, “Ranbir - The absolute first person to have heard about Brahmāstra and the first to have jumped on for the ride! On a writing trip for Yeh Jawaani in May 2011, is where the idea was born... and Ranbir was my very first phone call.” “There is so much to share about B.āstra, but it is fitting that the first team member this Insta journey touches upon is... On the last day of Kumbh Mela, the makers and the cast of Brahmastra treated their fans a glimpse of the film’s logo in the sky, using drones. This marked the magnanimous announcement of any film in the history of Indian cinemas. The logo was launched on the auspicious day of Mahashivratri.

Brahmastra has real-life love-birds Ranbir and Alia paired up for the first time as super-powered youngsters. Amitabh Bachchan is having an important role in the film, while Mouni Roy is reportedly playing the antagonist. Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna is having a cameo in the movie. Brahmastra is slated to hit the theatres on December 25.
