Ranbir and Alia, have given many spectacular performances and will be sharing the screen space for the first time in Ayan’s directorial venture. The supernatural fantasy film has been hitting the headlines for all the right reasons. The filmmaker had revealed some insights from the film yesterday and also shared that Ranbir was the first person to know about it. Revealing some more information to the fans, Ayan shared a picture of Ranbir on his Instagram and wrote, “Rumi. First, he was Rumi. Rumi with long hair. This image is from an early look test for the movie.” He adds, “Rumi said, ‘Love is the bridge between you and everything...’, and that feeling is the foundation we started building the protagonist of this movie on... But then, there was new inspiration, newer thoughts... Dragon became Brahmāstra, we gave Ranbir a haircut, and Rumi became... Shiva,” he further added.

The rugged look of the Barfi star, with long hair and beard, reminds us of his look in critically acclaimed and widely appreciated film Rockstar.

Alia and Ranbir-starrer has been the talk of the town since the movie went to the floors. Earlier this week, the makers also revealed the film’s logo in Prayagaraj’s Kumbh Mela. The film’s lead cast, including the director Ayan Mukerji, was present at the time of launch. The makers and the cast of the film treated their fans with a glimpse of the film’s logo in the sky, using drones, on the last day of Kumbh Mela. The auspicious day of Shivratri was chosen to launch the logo of the film.

Brahmastra has real-life love-birds Ranbir and Alia paired up for the first time as super-powered youngsters. Amitabh Bachchan is having an important role in the film, while Mouni Roy is reportedly playing the antagonist. Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna is having a cameo in the movie. Brahmastra is slated to hit the theatres on December 25.
