Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar will portray young Krishna and Vasudha, respectively, in the upcoming film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, with Ajay Devgn playing Krishna and Tabu as Vasudha in their older years. The movie unfolds the love story of a couple spanning 23 years, from 2000 to 2023, exploring the evolving dynamics of their relationship over two decades. The new song “Ae Dil Zara” highlights the romantic journey between young Krishna and Vasudha, juxtaposed with their reunion after two decades. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha delves into Krishna’s involvement in multiple murders, leading to a life sentence and separation from Vasudha, who marries Abhijeet. After 22 years, Krishna’s release on pardon fuels his desire to reconnect with Vasudha. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Jubin Nautiyal, Amala Chebolu and Rishabh Chaturvedi, and composed by MM Kreem, “Ae Dil Zara” captures the essence of their emotional journey.

Directed and written by Neeraj Pandey, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha also stars Jimmy Sheirgill in a pivotal role. The film is set to hit theatres on July 5.
