Tomorrow is going to be a big day for Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Tabu. The Jodhpur High Court is finally announcing the verdict on the two decade old blackbuck poaching case, with the accused stars arriving in the city to be a part of the hearing.
To give you a brief - this incident of the poaching happened when the stars were shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's Hum Saath Saath Hain in Jaipur. During a late-night drive, Salman Khan took the other main stars of the movie to hunt the deer that was considered as sacred by the local Bishnoi community and was also enlisted under the 'endangered species' by the Wildlife department.
Salman Khan was considered as the main accused of killing the deer, while the police report treated the other stars for abetting to the crime. Salman is facing charges under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act , while the other actors have been charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.
However, one actor has escaped the wrath of this case, despite being a part of the main star cast of Hum Saath Saath Hain and that is Karisma Kapoor. So how come she was never invited for this alleged hunting trip? Was she not friendly with the other stars in the shoot?
As per some archived reports, Karisma Kapoor was not present during the shooting schedule in Jodhpur and therefore managed to have a lucky escape. Another old report mentions that she was sleeping when the whole incident happened, as she didn't want to ruin her beauty sleep. Whatever the case might be, it saved her two decades of worries and tensions.
Talking about the other actors like Mohnish Behl and Mahesh Thakur, a Rediff report mentions that they refused to go along with Salman and others, while director Sooraj Barjatya has even tried the dissuade the group.
Whatever said and done, it has been going on for two decades and we need to put an end to this now. Salman had earlier been acquitted of possessing illegal arms in the same case, as the court found the evidence provided to be weak. So expect the same situation to happen in tomorrow's verdict
