When Kader Khan was not keeping well, Amitabh Bachchan was one of the few actors who tweeted about praying for his recovery. However, some fans are blaming Amitabh Bachchan for the reason why Kader Khan has not been prevalent in the industry for some time. And there is a reason for that! Kader Khan No More! As Twitterati was mourning over his death, a Twitter user shared a video about the equation between these two actors. The video is an old clip taken from an interview of the actor where he talks about what went wrong with his camaraderie with Amitabh Bachchan.

If you recall Kader Khan had penned some of Amitabh Bachchan's powerful dialogues in films like Coolie, Suhaag, Desh Premee, Amar Akbar Anthony, Parvarish, Sharaabi, Lawaaris and Muqadaar Ka Sikandar. In the video he talks about an incident when a producer from South talked to him about calling Amitabh 'sirji', and when he refused to refer to his old friend as such, he lost that project. Kader Khan was heard saying, “A producer from the south came and asked, ‘Have you met the Sir ji?’ I asked, ‘Which sir ji?’ He said pointed towards a tall man who was Amit ji. I said, ‘He’s Amit. When did he become sir ji?’  ‘We call him sir ji.’ Since then everyone started addressing him as sir ji." When Kader Khan revealed he refused to do so, he was not a part of the project anymore. He also mentioned that his stand on not calling Amitabh Bachchan 'sirji' also made him lose out on Khuda Gawah, while he had to leave writing Ganga Jamuna Saraswati mid-way. He concluded, "Perhaps this is the reason why my equation with him did not remain the same."

Though this incident happened before 1992, since that's when Khuda Gawah came out, Amitabh Bachchan and Kader Khan did work in a few more movies after that like Bade Miyan Chote Miyaan, Sooryavamsham and Family.
