Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley passed away at 66. He breathed his last at All India Medical Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Saturday. The late BJP leader was in a critical condition and was admitted in the hospital on August 9. The news of his demise left the nation teary-eyed. Jaitley was being monitored by a team of experts including endocrinologist, nephrologist and cardiologist in the hospital. Due to ailing health, the senior BJP leader was not a part of the Modi-led government at the Centre. He had undergone a renal transplant on May 14 last year at AIIMS. In September 2014, he underwent bariatric surgery to correct the weight he had gained because of a long-standing diabetic condition.
