Can Anubhav Sinha top his previous hard-hitting venture, Mulk, with his new movie, Article 15? The cop drama is based on the maltreatment of the minorities in the interiors of our country and is based on real-life incidents. For the first time, Ayushmann Khurrana is playing a police officer in a movie. Article 15 also has a great supporting cast in Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Manoj Pages, Kumud Mishra et Al. We are watching Article 15 right now and here's what we have to say about the first half. Article 15 Actor Ayushmann Khurrana Says 'There’s No Discrimination in Film Industry'.

Three girls go missing from the Dalit community in Lalgaun, UP, and two of them turn out to be dead. The police are eager to dismiss the case as honour killing and arrest the fathers of the girls. However, the new officer, played by Ayushmann Khurrana, realises that the case goes beyond a matter of family pride. With the people around him steeped in caste discrimination, the police officer is disappointed that this is not the India he is proud of, and his people needs to be reminded of Article 15, that condemns discrimination based on religion, caste, gender and language.

Article 15 is set as an investigative thriller, the cops try to find out who killed the girls and where the third victim is. In the process, the movie exposes how caste hierarchy is rotting humanity around us. The writing is taut and the direction by Anubhav Sinha is very strong. Another incredible act from Ayushmann Khurrana, with fine support from the supporting cast. Till the interval point, Article 15 is a riveting watch with a potential to go better."
