Article 15 Director Anubhav Sinha Seeks Help from the Administration After Goons Threaten the Cinema Owners in Different Cities

The Article 15 team had recently received death threats from the Hindu fringe outfit Parshuram Sena and Karni Sena for trying to show the Brahmin community in a bad light. And now goons in certain cities are threatening the cinema owners to stall its release.

While Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 is busy receiving accolades from critics and viewers alike, the makers are silently fighting a battle that needs to be highlighted.  Recently director Anubhav Sinha had penned an open letter to anyone and everyone who were offended by the movie's trailer and insisted on watching the movie before drawing any conclusions. However, today he wants to seek administration's help to help him release his movie without any fear. Sinha has received a letter from a Hindu fringe outfit demanding the removal of the word 'Brahmin' from their movie. He's also made aware of the situations in cities like  Aligarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Gwalior where goons are threatening the cinema owners against the release of this controversial movie. The goalpost is shifted. Now they want me to remove the word Brahmin from the film. Aligarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Gwalior...Goons going to the theaters threatening the Cinema owners. Earlier the team had received death threats from the Hindu fringe outfit Parshuram Sena and Karni Sena for trying to show the Brahmin community in a bad light. The same situation was earlier faced by Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat where the Karni Sena was against the release of this historical drama. Even Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi had to experience a mild setback which was over pretty soon for them. Hopefully, the makers of Article 15 won't succumb to these unwarranted demands.
