Ayushmann Khurrana's latest offering Article 15 has found a good holding at the Indian box office. The film is based on the country's socio-political atmosphere and has been directed by Anubhav Sinha. Inspired from true events, Article 15 arrived in cinema halls last week and got off to a great start after garnering rave reviews from the critics. Khurrana, who is at the top of his game, has yet again delivered an impressive performance on the big screen. While this movie will continue to perform well in the coming days courtesy its hard-hitting storyline, on Friday it clocked in another Rs 2.50 crore at the ticket windows. As per BollywoodHungama, the total collection of Article 15 now stands at Rs 36.71 crore which is overall a really good figure. The way Ayushmann starrer has been getting cash registers ringing, it won't be long before it surpasses the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic box office.
In fact, a report in Boxofficeindia.com states, "The film is down just 50% approx from the first day and the chances are that it could be at 50 crore nett plus after two weeks. The film has collected 36.25 crore nett in 8 days and is set to emerge a HIT film." Interestingly, this week three new films arrived in theatres - Sanjay Leela Bhansali's production venture Malaal, Hollywood biggie Spider-Man: Far From Home and Anupam Kher starrer One Day: Justice Delivered. However, none of them affected the box office business of Article 15 and that just proves that movies with good content do well no matter what.
