Anubhav Sinha's latest directorial venture Article 15 has found a strong holding at the Indian box office despite the Kabir Singh wave across India. The crime drama starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead finally released last week after getting everyone excited with its intriguing and hard-hitting trailer. As expected, the movie lived up to all the expectations and garnered fabulous reviews from the critics. No wonder, Article 15 witnessed a good opening on Friday despite being a small film. Just a while back, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter and revealed the updated figures. He wrote, "#Article15 is super-strong on the crucial Mon... Braves #KabirSingh juggernaut + torrential rains in #Mumbai, yet stays solid at key metros... Eyes ₹ 34 cr [+/-] in Week 1... Fri 5.02 cr, Sat 7.25 cr, Sun 7.77 cr, Mon 3.97 cr. Total: ₹ 24.01 cr. India biz."

Further, Boxofficeindia.com has reported, "Article 15 had a good hold on Monday collecting in the 3.75-4 crore nett. This ensures the film is a success. Well, going by the current trend, it's pretty obvious that Ayushmann's newest release isn't going to go out of theatres anytime soon. Despite competition from Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh and the ongoing Cricket World Cup, Article 15 has held up well at the ticket windows and that's very impressive. This means the movie has ample potential to go far in the box office race and we certainly think it will.
