Anubhav Sinha's Article 15 shows a jump at the box office on day 2. It seems to be a good time for Bollywood considering the recent releases, both Kabir Singh and Article 15 are doing well. After taking a decent start at the box office, the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer witnessed a good jump on its second day. After starting off the day with a Rs 5.02 crores opening, the film collected Rs 7.25 crores on its second day. Article 15 now stands with a total collection of Rs 12.27 crores. The film opened to great reviews from critics who felt the film's timely nature would certainly work in favour of it. Article 15 stars Ayushmann in the role of a cop who is investigating a case that shows how India's cast divide is still not only prevalent but also propelling crime in small towns.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the official numbers of the film's collections. Looking at the second-day collections, it certainly does seem that the film will continue to soar on its third day as well. The trade analyst did mention that the crucial World Cup 2019 game between India and England could make a slight difference but nonetheless, the film will keep up its momentum. Article 15 is now an addition to Ayushmann Khurrana's string of success in recent times. His previous two films, Badhaai Ho and Andhadhun too received rave reviews from the audiences as well as the critics and performed well at the box office. The film is currently facing stiff competition from Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh which is still strong over its second weekend and has now crossed the 150 crore mark at the domestic box office.
