Arjun Patiala stars Diljit Dosanjh, Kriti Sanon and Varun Sharma in the lead. The movie also stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ronit Roy, Seema Pahwa and Sunny Leone in a cameo. Arjun Patiala is directed by Rohit Jugraj who has made a name for himself in Punjabi cinema. He has earlier made movies like James and Superstar in Bollywood as well. Touted as a spoof comedy, it will be interesting to see if Arjun Patiala can make you laugh by poking fun at itself. We are watching Arjun Patiala right now and here's what we have to say about the first half: Arjun Patiala Star Diljit Dosanjh Claims This Bollywood Film is Close To His Heart. Guess Which?.

"Arjun Patiala wants to be a cop since childhood, after idolising a local police officer who is respected in his village. His dream comes true and Arjun is posted in a small town in Punjab called Firozpur. There he gets a sidekick in Onidda Singh, a love interest in a reporter and quite a few foes. Determined to make Firozpur crime-free, Arjun Patiala and Onidda Singh use devious ways to achieve their goals but what happens if their schemes come to bite them back? Here Is Kriti Sanon's Take On Various Box Office Performances, From Bareilly ki Barfi to Luka Chuppi.

The first half sets up the main characters, the premise and the gags in a very loose manner. The problem with Arjun Patiala is that it isn't as funny as the material it attempts to spoof. Among all the assorted characters in the film only Zeeshan Ayyub's upcoming gangster Sakool Singh brings some modicum of interest. The Sunny Leone cameo feels very disjointed, even if the movie uses it as another spoof material. Overall a very okayish first half that struggles to find the laughs."
