Arjun Kapoor-Parineeti Chopra's Namaste England or Ayushmann Khurrana-Sanya Malhotra's Badhaai Ho - Which Movie Are You Rooting For This Week? Vote Now!
So we have Namaste England clashing with Badhaai Ho at the box office, and it is time to place the bets as to which movie will take the lead from the other.
This week, thankfully, there are only two Bollywood movies clashing at the box office, unlike the trend of having three or more doing so that we have seen in the past couple of Fridays. However, these two movies are big and kind of make-or-break deal for the stars leading them. So we have Namaste England clashing with Badhaai Ho at the box office, and it is time to place the bets as to which movie will take the lead from the other. Namaste England Song Tu Meri Main Tera Starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineet Chopra, Sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is Magically Romantic.
However, both the Bollywood films were supposed to have another competitor in Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta's much-delayed Bhaiaji Superhit. However, this film has been pushed a week ahead (making October 26 a very crowded affair, what with Baazaar, Dussehra and 5 Weddings already competing). So let's focus only on what we are being served by Bollywood this week, and thankfully, we are having something different in both. Let's talk about what excites about Namaste England and Badhaai Ho below -
Namaste England
Directed by Vipul Shah, Namaste England is a sort of sequel to his own 2007 film Namastey London, with a new cast and story to tell. Starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead, the movie is a romantic entertainer about a Punjabi guy whose ambitious wife goes to London to make a career for her there, and how he tries to win her back. The Tere Liye song, sing by Atif Aslam, has managed to create a huge buzz for the film.
Badhaai Ho
If your film stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead, expect it to be quirky. Badhaai Ho is no exception to the rule, as it has a very interesting story to say. It is about a family who finds out that their matriarch is pregnant just when the eldest son is about to tie the knot himself. Apart from Khurrana, the movie also stars Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, Sheeba Chaddha, Surekha Sikri and Gajraj Rao. The movie is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.
Interestingly, both Badhaai Ho and Namaste England are releasing a day prior, i.e. on October 18.
