Arjun Kapoor, one of his generation's most affable actors, turns 33 today. On behalf of the LatestLY desk, we wish the handsome star Many Many Happy Returns of the Day!

You may or may not be a fan of this guy, but you can't deny that Arjun Kapoor has this peculiar charm that endears him to many. The only son of producer Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor has made his debut in Bollywood opposite Parineeti Chopra in 2012's Ishaqzaade. The rustic Romeo and Juliet tale was a hit at the box office and launched him as a star. His next Aurangzeb may not have worked commercially, but was an underrated effort that deserves more attention. From there on, the Kapoor scion has delivered more hits than flops and is considered one of the more saleable actors of his generation.

In this special feature, we look at five qualities as to what makes Arjun Kapoor tick with his fans.

Not afraid to mix n match

Even though he made his debut in 2012, Arjun Kapoor has only acted in nine movies, not counting his cameos. That shows that the actor is quite the choosy ones, willing to shuffle genres and not taking the easy route. When there is a grim thriller like Aurangzeb, there is a comic entertainer like Mubarakan. When there is a masala movie like Gunday, there is an offbeat attempt like Finding Fanny. Even his upcoming movies like the period war movie Panipat, the romcom, Namastey England and the quirky romance, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar are equally interesting.

Is Comfortable with Comic Roles

They say that any actor who is comfortable with doing comedy is often considered a good actor. So what does that say about Arjun who was so good in Mubarakan, Gunday and Ki & Ka? His comic timing is enough for us to forgive him for travesties like Half Girlfriend.

Sense of humour

Not every actor who is good at comedy needs to have a charming sense of humour offscreen too. But if you have Arjun Kapoor in his various interviews, as well as during the infamous AIB Roast, we can easily see that Arjun has that impeccable and natural sense of humour.

A team player

There is something about our Bollywood heroes that makes them avoid multi-starrers, because there is a fear that they might get eclipsed by their co-star. However, right from his second movie, Aurangzeb (that has Rishi Kapoor, Prithviraj and Jackie Shroff) to his last release Mubarakan (Anil Kapoor), Arjun Kapoor has not shown any kind of aversion for two-hero or ensemble movies.

The family guy

Talking about his personal life, we all know how close he was to his late mother and his younger sister Anshula Kapoor. But earlier this year, Arjun showed another great side of his. Despite sharing animosities with his father's second wife Sridevi and her daughters, Arjun Kapoor stood by his step-sisters at every juncture when the actress passed away in February. From there on, he has been this rock-solid elder brother support for them, even taking on trolls and websites who had a thing to cruel to say about Janhvi's dressing sense.

Seriously, what's there not to love about this guy?
