Speaking in support of survivors, AR Rahman is the latest celebrity to have voiced his opinion about the ongoing #MeToo movement. He took to Facebook to express how shocked he is to know about the other side of certain personalities and wishes to see the industry become cleaner. #MeToo has brought forth a lot of names from Bollywood including the likes of Sajid Khan, Alok Nath, Kailash Kher, Anirban Das Blah, Anu Malik, Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Nana Patekar. #MeToo in Bollywood: Every Word Said And Written About Anu Malik is TRUE Says Alisha Chinai.

This is what Rahman said on Facebook: "Been observing the #metoo movement... Some of the names have shocked me... both the victims and their perpetrators... I would love to see our industry become cleaner and respectful of women... More power to all the victims coming forward!! In all my endeavors, my team and I are committed to creating an environment where everyone finds a safe creative space to bring their best, evolve and succeed. Social media offers great freedom for victims to speak up, however we should be careful in creating a new internet justice system, in case it’s misused."

Some of those who have been accused like Alok Nath, Nana Patekar and Luv Ranjan have completely dissed the allegations against them. However, we can clearly see the impact of the #MeToo movement in Bollywood. Women directors have pledged to not work with those proven guilty. YRF has fired its Business Head Ashish Patil and KWAN Entertainment head Anirban Das Blah too has been asked to resign.
