Time to not fall for all silly rumours and pranks and make sure that you wait for another day to find out if everything you heard on this day was true. Popularly known as April Fool's Day, people use the occasion to prank their unassuming friends and dear ones. From simple lies to elaborate ruses, expect anything to happen on this day. For there are quite a few pranksters among some of our favourite actors (nope, PM Narendra Modi biopic is not a prank played on us by Vivek Oberoi, BTW). We have heard stories about how these stars always pull a fast one on their innocent co-stars or for the matter, anyone gullible enough to be on the sets. Ajay Devgn
He may have a very serious demeanour, but don't let that fool you. If the stories of his co-stars are to be believed, then Ajay Devgn could earn the title of the biggest prankster in town. During the shooting of Son of Sardaar, he made his co-star Arjan Bajwa eat a plate of gajar ka halwa which turned out to be a chilli paste. Another story from the sets of Kaal has him turn everything in the room of a dress designer and make the person believe the room was haunted. He tried the ghost prank again during the shoot of Singham Returns where he made a spot boy drape himself in a white cloth and scare everyone.
Aamir Khan
When it comes to pulling pranks on his co-stars, Aamir Khan also wants to be a Mr Perfectionist there. Raveena Tandon once revealed that when she was shooting with Aamir for Andaz Apna Apna, he pretended to throw a cup of hot coffee on he face, making her scream. Only for her to later realise that the cup was empty. He pulled the same trick, years later, on Fatima Sana Shaikh during Dangal with the same results. Juhi once said that when Aamir learnt that she was scared of snakes, he brought a baby snake during a shoot just to scare her.
Akshay Kumar
If Huma Qureshi is to be believed, her Jolly LLB 2 co-star Akshay Kumar has a habit of sending fake marriage proposals to other actors using her phone. He pulled a similar trick on Sidharth Malhotra during the shoot of Brothers, when Akshay used Sid's phone to send an 'I Love You' message to people on his contact list.
Vidya Balan
Even the ladies aren't behind when it comes to pulling pranks on people. Among the actresses, it is Vidya Balan who earns the popularity for being a prankster. As per an article in HT, she once almost convinced a mortified female AD on the sets of The Dirty Picture to do an intimate scene with Emraan Hashmi, because she was unwell. During the shoot of Te3n, Vidya would distract Nawazuddin Siddiqui from his lines, by making faces at him. Even her favourite director Sujoy Ghosh was at the receiving end of her pranks. While shooting for Kahaani, she stole his mobile and when he was almost about to buy a new one, she returned the phone to him.
Shah Rukh Khan
King Khan is a prankster all right, and one of his biggest victims was Hrithik Roshan himself. Hrithik once revealed that SRK had told him that the secret of his good hair was that he never uses shampoo. Hrithik used his advice for weeks and the result was that he had matted dry hair as a result, only to realise then that Shah Rukh Khan was pulling his leg.
Abhishek Bachchan
You only need to check the hilarity of his tweets to know that Abhishek Bachchan has funny guy written all over him. During the shoot of Happy New Year, he stole director Farah Khan's phone and tweeted positive things about himself, like how he is the best and all. He also once called a huge fan of his pretending to be a digital marketing guy. During the shoot of Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, he pranked producer Vashu Bhagnani by deliberately ruining a simple scene by having numerous retakes and wasting reels.
Ranbir Kapoor
Don't fall for his charming, innocent looks. There is a very devious prankster hidden behind that facade. During the shoot of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ranbir got co-stars Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur accidentally drunk by replacing water in the glasses with vodka. Why even Deepika Padukone had once said that Ranbir was a bigger prankster than Ranveer Singh.
