We can't prise Anushka Sharma enough. She has always had us impressed with whatever she puts her money in. We have loved NH10, Phillauri and Pari, her three production ventures. Well, the next venture she is betting her money on will make your heart flutter with joy. Or maybe even make you tear up a little. Not another movie, but Anushka is all set to open an animal shelter near Nasik. The actress features on the cover of Elle India magazine's November issue. She had made us aware of this plan back in May on her birthday. Now,  in her interview for the magazine, she talks more about the plan.

Revealing bits of her plans, Anushka said, "I’ve always wanted to do something in animal welfare. So, I bought a piece of land, in Vasind, on the Nashik highway. I want to utilise it as an animal shelter,"

We know that the actress has always been a compassionate animal lover. It is so great to see a Bollywood star taking up the steps in this direction. The actress added, "I want to build up the shelter and make it an oasis, and I want kids to come there for field trips. I want to create compassion in children. It’s something that makes me happy,"

Talking about the cover of the magazine, Anushka is looking beautiful on it. She is wearing a gorgeous green dress, but more than her sartorial choice it is her hairstyle that will impress you. She has never shied away from sporting short hair, as seen in PK and Sanju, but this time she goes for the kill. Her hairdo is looking stunning, the best out of all of her short-haired looks.

On the work front, Anushka will be next seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero. The movie stars the actress playing the role of a wheel-chair bound woman known for her brilliance. She is paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan, who is playing the role of a dwarf. Katrina Kaif also stars in the film, making this the trio's second film after Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Zero opens in theatres on December 21.
