As the Anti-CAA protests rage on across India, several notable celebrities are coming forward and criticising the act and also the police action that is being taken across states to curb these protests. Among these voices is also director Anurag Kashyap who has openly criticised the government on social media. The actor along with other celebrities such as Aparna Sen also appealed for an independent judicial probe into the violence against anti-CAA protesters in Uttar Pradesh. The actor took to Instagram to share the same as he wrote, "So now I can only read tweets and retweet them. Can't speak my mind anymore. How afraid is this government of the truth. Let's see how long this lasts before they return my twitter rights to me." He later posted his IG story screenshot as his profile picture after being unable to tweet. Although soon, it seems the director did get his Twitter rights back and he first tweeted saying, "And I am back ." Check out his tweets here.

Bollywood celebrities are finally speaking up. Earlier today, a video of Swara Bhasker questioning UP Police action against protestors was going viral. The actress made strong statements in the video as she called out UP police for using violence where she said, "They were violent towards not only people who were instigating violence, the identity of whom we don't know but also towards the common Muslim people."
