Anurag Basu’s Action Comedy Delayed Again; the Movie to Now Clash with Amitabh Bachchan’s Chehre on February 21, 2020

When we heard that Anurag Basu is making another anthology film, after Life in a Metro, our excitement was through the roof. The new film was rumoured to be a sequel to Metro, but that is not the case. The untitled movie features an ensemble cast that includes Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Bachchan- to name a few. Because the release of the film is in 2020, on February 21. It was earlier slated to open in theatres on September 6, this year. But, it always happens so that the change in date of one movie's release date has a ripple effect on the entire roster. Before this, it was announced in April that the movie will hit the theatres on January 20, next year. Guess that plan did not work out either. By doing so, the movie will now be clashing with Chehre, which stars Emraan Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan.

The untitled film is said to be in the action-comedy genre. Although, the stills of the films that have seen only give comedy vibes. Other than that, not much information about the project has been made available by the makers. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Anurag Basu, Tani Somarita Basu and Krishan Kumar.

The humour in the film might not be for everyone since it falls more into the dark comedy zone. "It’s my pleasure to be working with Bhushan for my next that is a dark comic anthology," Anurag had said in January. We are eagerly looking forward to this project.
