Anti-CAA Protests at Jamia Millia Islamia University: John Cusack, Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar Express Their Opinions and Slam Violence On Students (Read Tweets)

Students of Jamia Millia Islamia University had to face the wrath of the Delhi police after, protests against the Citizenship Ammendment Act, allegedly, turned violent. Usual vocals like Swara Bhasker and Konkona Sen Sharma had opened up. Now joining them are Anurag Kashyap, Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana, Jim Sarbh amongst others.

If you read the news, or are on any social media, you should be at least mildly aware of the situations unfolding across the nation. Students of Jamia Millia Islamia University had to face the wrath of the Delhi police after, protests against the Citizenship Ammendment Act, allegedly, turned violent. Bollywood has a tendency to awfully be quiet over the matters as such. But today, many actors and filmmakers and other artists took to their social media to voice their opinion. Many outright condemned how the police has reacted to the situation. Many have asked for peaceful protests.

Earlier, usual vocals like Swara Bhasker and Konkona Sen Sharma had opened up about the matter at hand on Twitter. Now joining them are Anurag Kashyap, Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana, Jim Sarbh amongst others.

Also, there were some tweets from celebrities from the other end of the spectrum. Comic actor Suresh Menon retweeted Anurag's tweet and asked him to not make anti-government comments.

Bollywood biggies like Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh have not expressed their opinion yet.
