It has been long since once favourite TV couple Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput broke up. The break up tale of this Bollywood hottie with his actress girlfriend left many ‘Pavitra Rishta’ fans heart broken. Both the stars maintained silence on the subject for long time. While Ankita is rumored to be dating a businessman, Sushant worked his charm up to Bollywood movies like MS Dhoni, Kai Po Che, PK and more. The handsome hunk is also reportedly dating Kriti Sanon. However, Ankita, who will be next seen in Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, spilled the beans over the break up for once and all.
Speaking her heart out to DNA, the 33-year-old actress revealed, “Honestly, I have always been content. When I was working, I was satisfied; when I wasn’t, I was still happy. I’m okay with whatever I do. Aisa kabhi nahin tha ki mujhe yeh chahiye ya woh chahiye. I decided to take a break because I was happy with that then. It was not just for myself. I guess, the Universe wanted me to get back professionally, which is why I’m here now. I won’t say the break-up affected my profession, though. Love and work are two separate things. You need to balance them and I’ll say I wasn’t able to do that.”
The popular TV bahu also did not forget the lessons she got from the whole break up episode. She added, “I have learnt to love myself. I had forgotten to do that. Loving yourself helps because if you don’t respect your own feelings, how do you expect others to do that? Also, earlier, I didn’t know how to balance things. Today, I know how to do that. Mujhe pata hai kahaan kise importance deni hai. Lekin sabse zyada importance mujhe apne aap ko deni hai.”
Well, we hope that people favorite ‘Archana’ gives her best shot in the period drama along with Ms Ranaut. She will be featuring the role of Rani Laxmibai’s close aid Jhalkaribai in this Krish directed film.
