Names of many celebrities propped up as the Me Too Movement in the Indian sphere took to centre stage. Big actors and internet celebrities such as Nana Patekar, Vikas Bahl, Vivek Agnihotri, Utsav Chakraborty, Chetan Bhagat, Rajat Kapoor, Kailash Kher and most recently, Alok Nath have been accused of sexual misconduct. Alok Nath, known famously as Sanskari Baba, shocked us to our very core when the producer of the show Tara divulged about her story. The incident took place two decades ago, however, only now was the survivor able to find the courage in expressing the wrong that was done to her. #MeToo India Strikes Most 'Sanskari Babuji' of Bollywood! Shobha Sant Calls Alok Nath a ‘Monster’
Celebrities like Shobha Sant and Mallika Dua took to Twitter to express their displeasure over the monstrous act of Alok Nath (they took his name in their tweets). Bhansali productions' CEO Shobha Sant tweeted, "My heart goes out to what you would have gone through V***a N***a. Alone. While many in the industry would have heard the whispers and yet been too scared to call that monster #AlokNath out."
Mallika Dua also shared a tweet calling out Alok Nath, “Part 1 #Babuji My ass. This is so terrifying. How must she have dealt with this alone in the bloody 90’s. Thank god for social media.” Now, with one more name added to the list, we wonder what his fans have to say! Alok Nath OPENS Up About Rape Allegations by 'Tara'; Writer and His Response Has Nothing To Do With Any Sanskaar!
Twitterati is also not keeping mum on the whole issue. They have also taken a stand and commented on the alleged predatory behaviour of the Tara actor.

And @AsYouNotWish will still not out him so that many more- patriotic daughters- become victim of this predator who is one of most prominent campaigners of PM Modi’s “beti padhaao, beti bachaao”? Neither will you open your mouth on #AlokNath because he is from same camp?

It’s sad, how one of the most prominent campaigners of PM Modi’s “beti padhaao, beti bachaao” in the media glare is the biggest backer of sexual predators off camera. Why are all the netas just the same? God save my country.

Don't define your ideal by onscreen character. They play that role for money not for anything else. #MeToo movement gives a strong message to society don't run behind these stars. Work hard and be ur own hero. #AlokNath #MeTooIndia

Finally the #MeTooIndia movement has arrived. Where will you all rapists, perverts and pedophiles go. Women are not afraid to speak anymore. Wasn't it the single factor saving you from disgrace. Bayback time I guess #AlokNath #Khamba #VikasBahl #UtsavChakraborty

With so many industry professionals, journalists and media professionals speaking up about the workplace harassments they have faced over time. They have divulged about their experience of how they brought the situation in the eyes of the authority, only to be let down by the system. While the MeToo movement may not be exactly the way it broke out in Hollywood last year, it sure is seeking out to all the accused and bringing their true colours to the public.
