AndhaDhun First Look Out: Ayushmann Khurrana-Radhika Apte’s Next Directed by Sriram Raghavan to Release on August 31

There has been a lot of buzz around the film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte’s AndhaDhun. The film is directed by Badlapur director Sriram Raghavan. The movie stars Ayushmann as a blind pianist and that’s how the makers came up with the title. Earlier, the movie makers made the fans guess the name of the film through emojis. They then announced the title with the promise of the first look of the film. And as promised, here it is! We can see a pair of goggle broken and musical ‘pieces’ falling down. The release date is August 31 and we are all geared up for it already.

The film will have a quirky plot with strong characters played by Apte and Tabu. Speaking of it, Sriram earlier told in an interview, “It’s actually closer to Johnny Gaddaar (his 2007 neo-noir thriller) with its quirky characters and a strong plot revolving around Ayushmann, Tabu and Radhika. Amit Trivedi has done the music, and this is the first time my characters will be lisping in the film.”
The team of AndhaDhun even visited a blind school to get the character learn the nuances. The director added, “The teacher there introduced us to a boy who is also a pianist and I could see my protagonist in him. I narrated my script to him to gauge his reaction and fortunately he liked it.” The teaser and the trailer of the flick is much-awaited and we cannot wait to find what’s behind this quirky poster.
