Sriram Raghavan's directorial venture Andhadhun is continuing its historic run at the China box office. The film which released on April 3 in more than 5000 screens across China is in fact set to surpass the Rs 300 crore mark at the ticket windows which is absolutely fantastic. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte in the lead, the black comedy thriller became the fourth highest grossing Indian film in China just a few days back by beating the record of Irrfan Khan's Hindi Medium. And now it's set to overtake Hollywood biggie Shazam! at the China box office. Andhadhun China Box Office Collection: Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu Starrer Becomes the Fourth Highest Grossing Indian Film, Mints Rs 246.43 Crore
Revealing the same, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and wrote, "#AndhaDhun continues its heroic run in #China... Crosses $ 40 million, Will cross the total of #Hollywood biggie #Shazam [released in same week], Will challenge *lifetime biz* of #BajrangiBhaijaan in #China. Total till [Sat] 20 April 2019: $ 40.43 million [₹ 280.70 cr]."
Co-produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Matchbox Pictures, Andhadhun has released in China as Piano Player. In the film, Ayushmann plays a pianist who pretends to be blind. Things go awry when he witnesses a murder but is helpless and can't do much about it. Apart from him, Tabu was lauded for playing a cold-hearted murderer in the black comedy thriller. Andhadhun China Box Office Collection: Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu's Black Comedy Thriller Mints Rs 237.42 Crore
While it seems Andhadhun will continue to draw the Chinese audience at the cinema halls, it's very much possible that it may even surpass the collection of Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan at the China box office pretty soon.
